Hi, friend! I had plans to write a big ol’ reflection for you this week of how I feel about my first big renovation in our new house. But, between the time change and the general state of the world, my brain is fried. I cannot offer a deep or thoughtful reflection on anything right now, so instead we’re going to keep it light and fluffy and fun.

Honestly, I think we all need a little more of that right now anyways.

I don’t even have full paragraphs in me right now, so we’re tackling this week’s newsletter listicle style. Grab a cup of coffee (I’m cracking open my Lime Slush Alani right now!) and let’s chat, shall we?

4 Things I Can’t Shut Up About:

  • I’ve been telling everyone in my life to read this book series and I’ve got them all hooked. My dad texted me the other day to tell me it’s so dumb but he can’t stop reading, which made me laugh out loud.

  • I loved this article on how to cut down on grocery spending, and I’m definitely going to be trying a few of her suggestions (love a “pantry week”!)

  • I’m making everyone I know watch this Merlin the Pig video and then making them listen to me go on and on about talking animals for 10 minutes. It’s a delightful development for everyone involved.

  • I’m savoring this book and telling everyone I know about various tidbits I loved from it. My highlighter has never gotten so much use.

5 Tiny Things That Made Me Smile This Week:

  • G got a new bed this week and his excitement levels are off the charts. I have loved watching him find a renewed love for hanging out in his room, and listening to him read aloud to himself after I tuck him in.

  • I left the windows open all day on Sunday and it was so lovely to feel the breeze and listen to the birds. Our weather doesn’t allow for that very often, so I’ve gotta take it when I can get it.

  • All of our trees are starting to bloom and it’s the most magical thing.
